Rev. Joseph B. Andrews
Associate Minister
Joseph Byron Andrews, born in St. George’s, Grenada, West Indies, alongside his beloved wife, Adrienne, are devoted servants of God.
Responding fervently to God's call in 1996, he committed boldly and faithfully to the Lord's service. Licensed to preach on May 22, 1996, at St. Paul, he pursued extensive education, earning degrees in Biblical Studies, Bible with a minor in Christian Leadership, Bible Science, and a Master of Divinity from Cairn University in Langhorne Manor, PA.
Dedicated to mission work, he has undertaken numerous overseas trips, aiding the poor, the sick, and the marginalized. His service extends to various ministries within St. Paul and the wider community.
Rev. Dr. Gina Jacobs-Strain
Associate Minister
Reverend Dr. Gina C. Jacobs-Strain committed her life to Christ when she was 7 years old. She serves as General Secretary for American Baptist Churches USA. Previously, she led American Baptist Women’s Ministries and ministers in Christian Education at St. Paul.
Previously, Dr. Jacobs-Strain served as Transitional Pastor for First Baptist Church of New Market, Interim Pastor at St. Paul Baptist Church of Atlantic Highlands, and Associate Regional Pastor for Women in Ministry for American Baptist Churches New Jersey.
Dr. Jacobs-Strain graduated with a BA in Psychology from Rutgers University, Magna Cum Laude with a Master of Divinity degree from Drew University, and a Doctor of Ministry from Duke University. She is married to Clifton Strain and they have three sons.
Dr. Gwen Parker Ames
Associate Minister
Dr. Gwen Parker Ames, licensed as a Minister at St. Paul Baptist Church in 2007, is a servant leader fostering collaborations in her community and beyond. Guided by 2 Corinthians 2:15, she inspires others to embody Christ's essence.
With a doctorate from Teachers College, Columbia University, Dr. Ames serves as an educator, playwright, and filmmaker. She previously served as the Dean of Student Success at Nyack College and is a Board-Certified Chaplain.
She is passionate about addressing educational disparities and mentors children failed by the school system.
She is married to Donald Ames and they have one son.
David Anderson
Associate Minister
Minister David Anderson, blessed with a wife, Aida, and five children, joined St. Paul Baptist Church of Montclair, N.J. in 1998. Initially serving as an usher, he transitioned to the Deacon Board in 2004. Licensed to preach on April 6, 2006, he is currently pursuing spiritual growth at New Brunswick Theological Seminary.
As the founder of the SENT ministry (“Save, Enlighten, Nurture, and Teach”), Minister Anderson is dedicated to serving men in local shelters, guiding them to Jesus and reuniting them with their families. Alongside believers from various churches, he has facilitated the installation of six wells in Ghana, Africa, providing clean drinking water to villages. His career as a Process Automation Engineer in the pharmaceutical industry has taken him worldwide, where he shares his testimony of overcoming cancer—Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma—twice, attributing all glory to God.
Minister Anderson's unwavering faith in Christ sustains him through all circumstances, whether in times of joy or hardship.
